With over 8000 attendees coming to Copenhagen in September 2024, TechBBQ gathered everyone in the Nordic startup ecosystem – and by connecting international investors to startups, scaleups, and the broader VC community in the Nordics, we were truly a catalyst for future innovation, venture, and technology. Attendees came to TechBBQ 2024 for high-quality deal sourcing, exclusive networking, long-lasting relationships – and Danish hygge!
During the days of the TechBBQ Summit, there were a number of activities aimed at investors, enhancing their experience and ensuring they could be as efficient as possible when visiting TechBBQ.

Startup Matchmaking: Did you want to meet the most relevant startups during TechBBQ? And were you wondering how to filter for the most relevant startups to meet? At TechBBQ, we used the latest AI matching tool to save you time and ensure you only had meetings with the most relevant startups based on your specific investment profile! Attendees got their ticket, uploaded their investment thesis, and received a comprehensive overview of the startups whose stage, industry, business model, and experience matched what they were looking for – and booked meetings directly on our Event Platform!
This platform was available to all investor and business angel ticket holders for TechBBQ 2024.
Nordic Investor Day
On September 10
On Day 0 – prior to the TechBBQ Summit in September – we invited all investors to the exclusive Nordic Investor Day, where 700 attendees mixed & mingled and prepared for the coming days.
Attendees met their next syndication partners, caught up with everyone they knew, and engaged in current topics.
LP Forum
On September 10
Every year in September, we gathered 150 Limited Partners, Funds of Funds, and Family Offices to hear and engage in the latest perspectives on the Nordic venture market. This was a strictly LP-to-LP event, held separately from Nordic Investor Day, with joint networking opportunities before TechBBQ.
LP / VC Matchmaking
TechBBQ teamed up with Mountside Ventures to co-host this LP/VC matchmaking event on Day 1 of TechBBQ. It brought together LPs and Family Offices interested in investing in Venture, as well as a select group of emerging (fairly wide definition) VCs. The matchmaking event was free to attend but by application only for VCs.
Founders' Hotspot
Day 1 (11/09), kl. 12:00
TechBBQ was excited to bring back Founders' Hotspot on Day 1 of TechBBQ. This exclusive event showcased Danish early-stage startups from various industries, all seeking to connect with investors and raise Pre-, Seed, and Series A rounds. The event brought together a handpicked group of promising startups from TechBBQ's Hero Academy, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the next generation of innovators.

The event was free to attend but required registration. Attendees signed up to enjoy networking with a selection of delicious snacks and refreshing drinks while making future-shaping connections!

Inspiring conversations with female founders and investors
This event was a unique opportunity for visionary female founders, investors, VCs, and Business Angels to connect at the Talent Garden venue in Copenhagen.
This event was organized by HER FUND and was a collaboration between TechBBQ, EU Female Founders, Nordic Women in Tech Awards, Wonderfund, and Talent Garden.
Investor Lounge
Centrally located at the TechBBQ Summit, attendees found our exclusive access Investor Lounge for those wearing an Investor Pass or a Business Angel Pass. Here, they were able to retreat for a bit of work, follow up on calls, or simply relax while enjoying complimentary coffee, tea, or sparkling water. For those looking for a priority & branded space for their team or meetings, we encouraged them to reach out for options!
