During TechBBQ 2022, our former colleague Asmus Kobbernagel overheard some of our speakers talking about the need for more activities targeted specifically to the queer community. As a member of the community, he was instantly inspired to take action.

Thanks to amazing enthusiasm from the TechBBQ team and speakers, we managed to organize the first TechBBQueer in under 6 hours! One of the first safe spaces where queer founders, talents, and allies could come together and share ideas and experiences in a predominantly cis-male-dominated field. In 2023, we re-created the successful event.

This year, we were ready, once again, to invite everyone to celebrate the Queer community and meet in a safe space during the TechBBQ 2024 event.

TechBBQueer 2024 gathering took place on the 11th of September, from 13:00-14:00 in the Community tent.

Inspiring conversations with female founders and investors

At TechBBQ 2023, we hosted a Diverse Founder & Investor Meet-up, with the goal of curating a designated space for these groups to network, connect, and inspire one another.

At the heart of this initiative was the mission to empower diverse founders with investment opportunities. We were thrilled to have hosted a garden session that successfully connected underrepresented founders during the event.

In 2024, we presented: Unlocking the Entrepreneurship Spirit - Inspiring Conversations with Female Founders and Investors.

This event was organized by HER FUND and was a collaboration between TechBBQ, EU Female Founders, Nordic Women in Tech Awards, Wonderfund, and Talent Garden.

It took place on the 13th of September at 10:00 in the Talent Garden venue.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Track

Our stage program was also filled with different sessions that were focused on various aspects of mental health and wellbeing.
