GENERAL
TechBBQ 2025 will be hosted at Bella Center Copenhagen, one of Scandinavia’s largest and most modern venues for congresses, conventions, and events. Located at Center Boulevard 5, 2300 Copenhagen S, Denmark, the center offers state-of-the-art facilities, including flexible meeting rooms, auditoriums, and exhibition halls.
Its strategic location in Ørestad district provides easy access to Copenhagen Airport and the city center, making it an ideal choice for international events.

Venue: Bella Center Copenhagen
Bella Center Copenhagen is easy to reach in Ørestad, with great transport options, including its own Metro station. It’s just 6 km from Copenhagen Airport and 8 km from the city center.
Public Transportation
Metro
The M1 Metro line connects Bella Center to central Copenhagen in minutes. Bella Center Metro Station conveniently places you right in front of our main entrance. Find more Metro details at www.m.dk.
Bus
Plan your bus journey using DOT or Rejseplanen. The bus line 30 also connects Copenhagen Central Station and Bella Center (20-25 min).
Train
Regional trains stop at Ørestad Station, with easy access to the Metro. Please note that Intercity trains do not stop at Ørestad Station. Use Rejseplanen to plan your journey.
Driving & Parking
Car Access
Bella Center is easily accessible via the E20 motorway. Take exit 19, “Ørestad”, to Center Boulevard.
Parking
24-hour paid parking is managed by APCOA (area code 3994) and EasyPark (area code 39940).
Other Transit Options
Air Travel
If you are flying to Copenhagen, you will land at Copenhagen Airport (CPH). From the airport, you can take a taxi, a ride-sharing service, or public transportation to the venue.
Regional trains stop at Ørestad Station, where you can transfer to the Metro and ride directly to Bella Center Metro Station. Please note that Intercity trains do not stop at Ørestad Station.
When you arrive at the airport, you can get tickets from machines, the DSB ticket office, or 7-Eleven kiosks. The same ticket works for the metro, bus, train, and harbor bus. Keep it with you in case a conductor checks. You can also buy tickets online here.
Taxi
Bella Center is 10-15 minutes by taxi from Copenhagen city center (DKK 200) and just 8 minutes from the airport (DKK 150-200).
Cycling
Discover Copenhagen like a local and ride your bike to Bella Center. There will be plenty of bicycle parking in the area surrounding the venue.
Accessibility
Bella Center Copenhagen is designed for accessibility, featuring accessible entrances, lifts to all floors, and nearby parking with wide walkways. Service animals are welcome.
AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen (the hotel on-site) has elevators in both towers for convenient access. For detailed information on accessibility or specific needs, please contact Bella Center at +45 32 52 88 11.

Upon arrival at Bella Center, you will see the Check-In area right as you enter the building. Here, you can collect your name badge, lanyard, and wristband, which grant you access to TechBBQ. Please keep these with you at all times.

Pre-Event Badge Claim
Alternative Pre-Event Badge Claim Point will be disclosed later in the year.
The cloakroom is situated directly in front of the check-in area. It is offered free of charge and will be staffed during all opening hours.

We encourage you to take a photo of your ticket number just in case. TechBBQ is not responsible for items left in the cloakroom.
Larger bags and luggage can be delivered and stored in the cloakroom, located directly in front of the check-in area. Only small purses and backpacks are allowed inside the event.

You’re welcome to take photos and videos with your mobile device and share them online, as TechBBQ is a public event. Professional filming equipment is only allowed with prior agreement or if you are an accredited member of the press.
FOOD, DRINKS & PAYMENTS
Staying true to our name and heritage, TechBBQ will feature barbecue setups for you to enjoy. Alongside the barbecue, you will find a variety of other tasty options from our two on-site cafés and a kiosk.
Please note that catering is not included with your ticket, and bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted.
You can buy espresso-based coffee drinks at the cafes inside the event area.
Our water stations in the Garden Hall provide attendees with some of the world’s purest tap water.
TechBBQ is a cashless event. We accept only card and contactless payments.
Bella Center Copenhagen employs a comprehensive waste management system that emphasizes source separation. This approach involves sorting waste into 21 distinct categories at the point of disposal, ensuring materials are appropriately segregated before collection. By implementing source separation, the venue effectively reduces landfill contributions to less than 0.5% and enhances recycling and upcycling efforts.
WORK & LOUNGES
Maximize your TechBBQ experience with our event platform. Designed with an intuitive matchmaking tool and a complete overview of the program, it’s the best way to connect and stay informed. Remember, the majority of meetings are arranged even before the event begins, so don’t miss out!
Launching three weeks before TechBBQ 2025, the platform will invite ticket holders to set up profiles and start networking. The platform will be accessible on both desktop and smartphone.
Ticket holders will receive an email with a personalized invitation and a link to download the app version. Whether you are attending in person or online, our event platform makes meaningful connections possible for everyone.
Accepted meetings on our online event platform will be allocated a table at the Matchmaking Area. It’s not possible to reserve a table without matching on the platform first.
TechBBQ offers free WiFi at the venue.
Running out of power can be frustrating, so we’ve ensured that charging stations are available in the workspaces throughout the venue.
We offer various workspaces across the venue, free to use anytime without reservations. These spaces are perfect for quick tasks or working on your laptop. While we hope you can immerse yourself in the event, we understand the occasional need to catch up on work.
TechBBQ’s Re-Charging Zone offers a calming space where attendees can release tension and regain mental clarity through guided meditation, breathwork sessions, and biohacking devices, ensuring they feel recharged and balanced amidst the high-energy atmosphere of networking, knowledge sharing, and event activities.
SAFETY
We strive to create a safe and welcoming event for everyone by minimizing security risks through close collaboration with our security partner at Bella Center Copenhagen. All venue staff are trained in safety and evacuation procedures.
All TechBBQ visitors and staff will undergo a security check at the venue entrance. Our dedicated security team will be present throughout the event to ensure safety. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to approach the nearest security personnel.

If first aid is needed, or if you witness or experience distressing or inappropriate behavior, please approach the nearest security personnel. They are trained in basic first aid and can contact emergency responders if necessary.
The national emergency number in Denmark is 112. In an emergency, call 112 and immediately notify nearby TechBBQ staff or security personnel.
At TechBBQ, we expect everyone to respect all attendees, regardless of identity or background.
This Code of Conduct applies to all event activities, both in person and online, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone involved.
TechBBQ hosts thousands of visitors. If you are feeling unwell, please consider everyone’s well-being and stay home. You can transfer your ticket to someone else if needed.
We encourage maintaining proper hand hygiene, with bathrooms available throughout the venue for handwashing.

TICKETS
The VAT added to each order works in compliance with the laws of the country in which the event takes place. A ticket to TechBBQ will be subject to Danish VAT. The standard VAT rate is 25% in Denmark.
Yes. Instructions on how to change the ticket allocation are included in your ticket confirmation email. Please be aware that once you’ve checked in and received your printed badge and wristband, you can no longer transfer the ticket to another person.
Yes, you can buy a ticket (or multiple tickets) and assign it (or them) later.
Yes, one ticket is valid for only one person. You can transfer the ticket to another person, but by doing so, you, yourself, will no longer be a ticket holder. Please be aware that once you’ve checked in and received your printed badge and wristband, you can no longer transfer the ticket to another person.
It is not possible to get a ticket for just one day. Tickets can be used by the ticket holder on both days of the event.
Yes. If you buy more than one ticket, you are responsible for assigning tickets to group members of your choosing. We require all tickets to be assigned before the event to be able to communicate all the information, have access to the event app and get the right badge during check in. Please note, that only people who have their tickets assigned to them, will be able to log in to our event app.
When you check in for the event by providing a valid ticket, you will receive a printed badge and a wristband, which you are required to wear on you at all times during the event days. Please note, that individuals are not allowed to remove the wristband from their wrists during the duration of the event days. In case the wristband is lost or removed from the wrist, individuals will be denied entry to the event and they will have to purchase a new wristband for 100€ at the entrance to be allowed into the venue. In case the badge is lost or damaged, it can be retrieved by showing a wristband on the wrist.
Stalls are not included in the price of the ticket. The exhibition area is reserved for:
a) Our partners (if you want to explore our partnership options, you can contact our team here);
b) Startups that apply and are selected to showcase via our Startup Program. The selected startups will be assigned slots in the exhibition area. Applications for the Startup Program open in spring 2025, so keep an eye on our social media channels & newsletter for the announcement.
The following information will be printed on your badge:
- Your ticket type (e.g: Startup, Investor, General Pass)
- Your full name
- Your job position
- Your company’s name
A Ticket Holder is eligible for a refund of the ticket cost they paid, if they have a change of mind within the 48 hours of purchase. Please note the processing fees for purchasing tickets are non-refundable. A request for a refund must be emailed to info@techbbq.org. The money will be refunded to the same source from which the ticket was purchased. Additional service fees may be applicable, for which TechBBQ holds no responsibility
After these 48 hours, your tickets have become non-refundable. However, you can change the name of your ticket allocation to a colleague, client, or friend. By reassigning the ticket to another individual, the owner of the ticket will waive its rights to the said ticket.
Additionally, no tickets are eligible for a refund if purchased after the 31st of July 2025.
ADDITIONAL FAQ
It is not allowed to smoke e-cigarettes or tobacco products indoors. Any smoking must take place outside.
The energy will keep going even after Day 2 ends! Stay tuned for more details.

Bring your smartphone (so you can utilize our event app) and a reusable water bottle (to fill up at the water stations). We highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes for the maximum comfort during the event! A laptop can be brought if you need to work.
Many of our partners will be hosting official side events during the week of TechBBQ! This program will be announced 3-4 weeks prior to TechBBQ on our official website and it will be also published in our event app, once the app launches.
Yes. All side events have a separate registration that is decided by their organizer. All side events will be available on our website prior to the event and will include links to register. Please note that some of the side events are invite only.

Benefits and Visibility
Partnering with TechBBQ gives your brand exposure through various channels including on-stage mentions, branded event spaces, inclusion in our digital and print materials, and social media promotions.
Partners cannot secure a keynote address or panel discussion by payment; these opportunities require an application and will be handled by our Programmes Department who operate independently from our Partnerships Department. However, partners can engage attendees through Grill sessions, pop-ups, or side events where partners have the opportunity to curate and moderate discussions within these formats, allowing them to highlight insights and foster meaningful conversations.
We offer branded booths, signage throughout the venue, and opportunities to engage directly with attendees via networking spaces or hosted sessions.
Partner Logistics
Partner registration codes will be shared with you directly after your partnership agreement is finalized. Please use these codes to ensure your team gains entry to the event.

Startup-Specific FAQs
The Startup Pass for TechBBQ includes full access to the two-day event, allowing startups to engage with key ecosystem stakeholders, attend all sessions, participate in workshops, and use the event’s matchmaking tools. This pass provides a valuable opportunity to showcase your startup and gain insights into industry trends.
Yes, startups can apply for multiple programs. However, if selected, you can only pitch in one competition. That said, you can still be chosen to showcase at the same time, allowing for additional visibility at the event.
Yes! You can nominate yourself for a speaking opportunity here. Please note that our program team reserves the right to choose the right speakers for the stage program and the speaking slot is not guaranteed, even after the nomination.
Startup Passes are designed for early-stage, tech-focused companies with scalable business models and a strong focus on growth.
While we welcome incubators and accelerators to join the event, they don’t qualify for Startup Passes. We recommend checking out our Community Passes instead.

As an investor with an Investor or Business Angel Pass, you can bring one person with a Startup Pass into the lounge and use the general facilities for a meeting. In addition, we offer a limited number of dedicated Private Lounge Meeting areas with meeting service, where you can bring multiple guests for private meetings.
Event Logistics
Investor and Business Angel passes can be purchased directly through our website. If you are part of a venture firm or angel group, you may be interested in one of our Partnership options which includes a number of passes.
While TechBBQ does not directly manage accommodations, we partner with local hotels to offer discounted rates for attendees. Detailed travel information will be provided upon registration.
We recommend registering early to secure your spot in exclusive investor events and to maximize your networking opportunities. Early bird ticket prices are valid for a specific period.
